Fatal collision near Pincher Creek claims two lives

PINCHER CREEK –   A collision Saturday (Dec 24th) morning claimed the lives of a Calgary couple and sent several others to hospital with serious injuries.

The incident happened just before 11:30 on Highway 3, about 5 km east of the Highway 6 turnoff.

Pincher Creek RCMP report a minivan west-bound on Highway 3 crossed the centre line and was struck by an eastbound SUV.

Two passengers in the minivan, a 53 year old man and his 49 year old wife, of Calgary, died of their injuries at the scene. Three other passengers in the van were transported to Pincher Creek hospital with serious injuries.  One of those individuals remains in serious, life threatening condition. The identity of the deceased are not being released.
