UPDATE (Monday, Jan. 26 at 12:35 p.m.): The RCMP says John Colin Dorrington has been found and is safe.

The RCMP is asking for your help in locating a missing person.

They say John Colin Dorrington, 49, of High River, left the community on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.

He was driving a grey 2012 Mazda 6 with Alberta license plate CCK 5695.

It is believed that Dorrington was travelling to Lethbridge.

The RCMP says he has a medical condition, and there is concern for his well-being.

Dorrington is described as six feet tall, 165 pounds, with a fair complexion, brown eyes, brown hair, a full beard, and he wears glasses.

He was last seen wearing black pants and a grey sweater, and officers note that he has a noticeable limp.

Anyone who has information on Dorrington’s whereabouts is asked to call the High River RCMP at 403-652-2357.
