Vehicle fire extinguished south of Lethbridge

Nobody was hurt in a vehicle fire in southern Alberta.

Coaldale & District Emergency Services says it was called to the incident approximately nine kilometres south of Lethbridge on Highway 5 at approximately 9:38 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

More than one dozen firefighters responded and found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames sitting on top of a trailer.

It also caused a small fire in the nearby ditch.

The blaze was quickly brought under control.

Firefighters remained on scene for around 1.5 hours to ensure it was completely extinguished and that there were no flare-ups.
