Alberta waives fishing license for Family Day long weekend

Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement is inviting Albertans to take part in Family Fishing Weekend (Feb. 14-16).

All family day long weekend, residents can enjoy fishing on any body of water, excluding national parks, without a license.

AB Fish and Wildlife says, “it’s a great chance to get outside, make memories, and connect with Alberta’s incredible natural resources.”

However, they do note that fishing regulations still apply.
