“It is with heavy hearts that we learned of the tragic events that unfolded in Tumbler Ridge, yesterday.
“We extend our sincerest condolences to the families, friends, and community members who are grieving such an unimaginable loss. The Alberta RCMP is committed to supporting our BC RCMP colleagues and the people of Tumbler Ridge in every way we can during this incredibly challenging time. We will continue to work alongside them as they navigate the days ahead.
“During yesterday’s events, the Alberta RCMP deployed officers from our Emergency Response Teams, Police Dog Services, and Air Services to assist in the interest of public safety. We recognize all the frontline emergency responders who acted with courage, professionalism, and compassion during an extraordinarily difficult and rapidly evolving situation.
“Again, our thoughts are with the community of Tumbler Ridge and all those impacted by these events.”
