Professional Bull Riders (PBR) is set to make its return to Lethbridge this week with the national championship on the line.

The PBR Canada Cup Series takes place at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena on March 6-7, with the South Country Co-op Showdown.

The organization calls two-time PBR Canada Champion Nick Tetz “the king of Lethbridge,” as he enters the event having won five consecutive competitions in the city.

The Calgary native is currently ranked number one in Canada and has won the last two events he has entered.

Tetz will compete against “international phenom” Wacey Schalla.

Hailing from Arapaho, Oklahoma, Schalla became the youngest rider ever in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) to cross $1 million in career earnings at 20 years old.

He qualified for the National Finals Rodeo in both 2024 and 2025.
