Three Minute Thesis Competition at University of Lethbridge reaches final round

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition at the University of Lethbridge is entering its final round.

Developed by the University of Queensland, the 3MT® aims to challenge graduate students to present their research in three minutes using language understandable to a general audience.

The competition aims to provide an opportunity for students to practice clear and concise communication of their research.

This year, 10 finalists have been selected, covering topics such as Alzheimer’s disease, brain systems, forest management, and gambling research.

A panel of judges is set to determine the winners, who will be announced alongside the winners of the Images of Research competition.

The event is open to the public and media.

  • When: Thursday, March 12,  2:00 – 4:30 p.m.
  • Where: Turcotte Hall TH201 (overflow in TH204)

The event will also be livestreamed.
