MLB’s Kevin Pillar to headline Lethbridge gala

A highly accomplished professional baseball player is set to make his way to Lethbridge this spring.

Kevin Pillar will be the esteemed guest of honour at the Canadian Baseball Legends Gala, hosted by the Lethbridge Bulls.

Pillar, 37, has played for several teams in Major League Baseball (MLB), including the Toronto Blue Jays, San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Angels, and, most recently, the Texas Rangers.

He retired in July 2025 after a 12-year run in the major league.

Pillar earned a series of accolades throughout his career, such as the Wilson Defensive Player of the Year in 2015, the Fielding Bible Award in 2016, and had the best fielding percentage as a centre fielder in the American League at .997 in 2017.

The Canadian Baseball Legends Gala takes place on May 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Sandman Signature Hotel in Lethbridge.
