Wind Warning for Lethbridge and southwest Alberta

Lethbridge and other parts of southwestern Alberta are under a wind warning today. 

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), strong winds that may cause damage continue.

Meteorologists say strong west winds with gusts up to 100 km/h are forecast and have developed in the Pincher Creek – Crowsnest pass region and will spread into Cardston and Lethbridge by Monday night.

Winds, however, will gradually weaken Tuesday afternoon.

Officials say driving conditions will likely be difficult and high-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind. Residents are advised to secure loose objects.
