Survey Closes March 22

Last call for snow-pinions

Mar 17, 2026 | 1:04 PM

Before winter fully melts away, there’s still time to share your thoughts on snow route plowing, windrows and other City winter services.

The City of Lethbridge says it is wrapping up the 2025/2026 season of the multi-year Snow and Ice Control Service Level pilot, and the transportation team is collecting final community feedback through a short survey.

Residents are invited to share inputs on topics such as:

  • plowing snow and ice to the right
  • city-wide snow route network
  • subscription-based Windrow Assistance Service (WAS)

By creating an opening along the curb or driveway after roads are plowed, officials say the WAS supports residents living along snow routes who face mobility barriers.

So far, city officials say the 2025/2026 winter season has seen just one snow event where snow routes were activated, which occurred at the end of November.

While it’s been a relatively light winter, the city says even limited snowfalls provide valuable insight when paired with community feedback. Together, they help build a clearer picture of how winter services are performing, note city officials.

The survey closes on Sunday, March 22. The city says survey results will be compiled into a report going to city council this spring, where the future of snow and ice service levels will be discussed.
