Canada’s Premier Food Corridor (CPFC) is hosting a three-day delegation from Invest Quebec, bringing together 10 companies specializing in processing automation and digitization.

The delegation aims to explore opportunities with Southern Alberta agri-food processors.

According to CPFC, the event is part of its effort to expand collaboration and support growth in Southern Alberta’s agri-food sector.

The delegation is set to visit processors, including Lamb Weston, Whole Leaf, Epic Eggs, NewCold, and Little Gem Winery. Business-to-business meetings will also take place at Tecconnect, followed by participation at the Economic Development Lethbridge Annual General Meeting.

Maha Jendoubi, Economic Attache at Quebec’s Vancouver office, said the initiative builds bridges between Alberta’s production capacity and Quebec’s technological expertise.

“By combining Alberta’s massive production scale with Quebec’s specialized technological expertise, we are creating strategic partnerships that will make our domestic food supply chain more efficient, resilient, and globally competitive.”

Sandra Dufresne, Cluster Development Manager for CPFC, added that the event allows participants to grow networks, address shared challenges, and explore interprovincial trade opportunities.

The delegation visit is part of CPFC’s mission to drive growth in Southern Alberta’s agri-food sector.
