Hurricanes to select 14th in first round of WHL Prospects Draft

The Lethbridge Hurricanes will have the 14th pick in the first round of the upcoming WHL Prospects Draft May 6, 2026.
The Western Hockey League (WHL) announced Thursday night that the Kelowna Rockets will have the first overall pick, which they acquired from the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes, however, will have the first pick of the second round which takes place May 7, along with the remaining rounds.
Also of note, players born in the United States will be eligible for the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft as there is no U.S. Priority Draft this year.
