Earthquake hits north of Edmonton

There was an earthquake in Alberta on April 1, and that’s no joke.

According to Earthquakes Canada, the Magnitude 4.5 tremor struck around 5:30 p.m., 18 km northeast of Morinville.

There are reports of it being lightly felt as far south as Bowden, and in other areas like Whitecourt, Lesser Slave Lake, and Lakeland Provincial Recreation Area.

More reports came from spots like Gibbons, Legal, and Bon Accord.

There have been no reports of damage.
