Temporary lane and sidewalk closures on Stafford Drive South

Officials with the City of Lethbridge say crane work will impact traffic and pedestrians along a portion of Stafford Drive South on Saturday, April 11. They say the project is scheduled to last for five hours.

Beginning at 7 a.m., city officials say the northbound lanes between 4 Avenue South and 5 Avenue South will be closed. However, two-way traffic will be maintained, with northbound motorists moving to the single centre turning lane. Both southbound lanes will remain open.

Officials note, there will be no entry to the parking lots behind City Hall. In addition, the lot surrounding the former RCMP building can only be reached through the south entrance, with vehicles able to enter the lot from both northbound and southbound lanes.

City officials say the east sidewalk, next to Stafford Drive, will also be closed. All lanes, parking lots and sidewalks should reopen by 12 p.m.
