LSCO, Allied Arts Council partner on woodshop technician program
The Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization (LSCO) and the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge have launched a shared workshop technician position to support access, safety, and maintenance across two woodshops in the city.
LSCO says the position is partially supported by a $30,550 grant from the Government of Alberta through its Community Initiatives Program.
Megan Rourke has been hired as the woodshop technician and is set to work across the Wesco Woodshop at LSCO and the Casa Woodshop.
Officials with the organizations say the role will include equipment maintenance, inspections, orientations, workshop support and development of procedures and documentation.
