Potentia Renewables Inc. is awarding funding to five local organizations and two schools through the Stirling Wind project Community Benefit Fund.

The fund supports capital projects, events, and arts or education initiatives that advance social welfare, arts and culture, and more.

“At Potentia Renewables, we believe strong communities are built through local partnerships and shared investment,” says Jeremy Jagt, President, Potentia. “We appreciate the work of these organizations and are proud to support projects that will have a lasting, positive impact across Lethbridge County.”

The following recipients were selected by Potentia and approved by Lethbridge County Council at their meeting April 16.

  • Picture Butte High School – farm education program
  • John Davidson School – playground equipment
  • Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) – community fee assistance programming
  • Picture Butte Fish and Game Association – youth camp and junior archery program
  • Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge – Interfaith Learning Garden
  • Jam for Jax – skate jam event for youth
  • TIME Society – 2026 Father Daughter Ball

“Community organizations and schools play a vital role in the well-being of rural communities,” said Reeve Tory Campbell. “This funding will support projects that create opportunities for learning and connection across Lethbridge County. Council is pleased to support an initiative that invests directly in local priorities and helps strengthen the place we call home.”

The Stirling Wind Project has 14 turbines in Lethbridge County, and the Community Benefit Fund is meant to invest in communities where it operates.
