Apr 17, 2026 | 3:16 PM

The fourth annual Lethbridge International Film Festival is underway from Friday, April 17, to Monday April 20.

Organizers say the event features more than 70 films from 18 countries, including 13 local productions.

The festival includes a mix of local, national and international works, along with dozens of premieres.

Screenings and events are being held at multiple venues across the city, including the Galt Museum and Archives, the Movie Mill and the Sterndale Bennett Theatre.

In addition to film screenings, organizers add that the festival includes Q&A sessions with directors, cast and crew, as well as live performances and other special events.

The festival opens Friday with a gala from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and wraps up Monday with closing films and a final event from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Organizers say the event aims to showcase a range of voices and perspectives, including films from underrepresented groups.
