Four Dates in May

Blood Tribe unveils spring cleanup

Like many Southern Alberta communities, the Blood Tribe is getting its residents involved with upcoming spring clean-up initiatives.

On April 24, it announced four separate events during the month of May:

  • Standoff: May 9, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Old Agency: May 16, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Moses Lake: May 23, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Levern: May 30, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In each case, gloves and garbage bags will be distributed by BTA staff volunteers, with lunch also provided for those taking part in the clean-ups.

In addition, the Blood Tribe Opioid Response team will also be on hand to ensure the safe disposal of needles and other drug paraphernalia.
