Lethbridge, small town Alberta key to province’s economy

Alberta’s Jobs minister believes Alberta has the strongest economy in the country.

However, Joseph Schow said that can only happen if communities, like Lethbridge, are given the tools they need to thrive.

“Making sure there’s a strong, capable, educated work force here is crucial for the success of the entire province,” said the minister after an address to business and community leaders at a Chamber of Commerce breakfast in the Bridge City Tuesday.

“Understanding that Southern Alberta is a huge agriculture hub, its “ag” corridor, and as the trade minister, I am keenly aware of how important getting these products are to external markets around the world.”
