Walk to Remember set for Sunday in Lethbridge

Apr 30, 2026 | 3:00 PM

Known as Walk to Remember, and now celebrating its fifth year, the Guided Journeys Foundation, is holding the annual event this coming Sunday, May 3rd at Henderson Lake Park in Lethbridge.

“This year’s walk is held in honour of Gary Randa,” said the group in a social media post.

“Gary was a devoted father, proud grandfather, respected businessman, and a man who lived with grit, pride, and heart. He loved his family, took pride in his work, and built a life rooted in hard work, loyalty, and the trucking community that meant so much to him. We are proud to walk in his memory.”

A fundraiser to build a future residential hospice in Lethbridge, organizers point out it’s not a race.

“Chairs and tables will be available for those who would prefer to sit, visit, reflect, and honour their loved ones.”

Registration begins at Noon at the Horseshoe Pits with the walk to follow at 1 p.m.

Entry fee is $25 per person and can be done with cash, cheque, or e-transfer.

Two local Lethbridge businesses are also doing their part to help in the cause.

From Monday, May 4th to Sunday, May 10th, Gas King will donate 15% of its car wash proceeds, while the Pie Store will donate a percentage of sales to Guided Journeys.
