Innovation conference underway at Trade & Convention Centre

Friday marks the first of two days for the High Level Innovation Conference in Lethbridge.

The idea: to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, educators, students, and industry leaders under one roof.

Event planner Eyren Uggenti says there will be close to 35 sessions and 50-plus speakers as part of the collaboration.

One of the more interesting aspects for 2026 to check out is a focus on E-Sport, which Uggenti hopes will attract a younger demographic to the show.

“A lot of youngsters are missing out on job opportunities. Not sure where to go. A lot of them have tech skills from the gaming space and we’re trying to harness that so that they can find careers in things like data analytics, IT, network systems, digital media…game development. All those kinds of things…programming jobs.”

The conference takes place at the Trade & Convention Centre through tomorrow.
