Coalhurst Town Council adopts 2026 operation, capital budgets

Council with the Town of Coalhurst has formalized its 2026 Operational and Capital budgets.

The 36-page report projects the town will spend $7,029,932 in operations and $2,019,653 in capital spending – its largest expense, the Sundance Storm Upgrade, is budgeted for $800,000 with just over $349,000 coming from reserves.

While the mill rate will be set sometime this month, residents will see an overall tax increase of 4.46 percent versus 2025 on their tax bill.

Notices are typically mailed out in June, with payment due by July 31.
