On Saturday, May 9^th, 2026, MARILYNN DOROTHY GARDNER passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Unit.

Marilynn leaves behind her greatest joys; her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her three children: Coleen (David) Kato, Katherine Gardner and Robert Gardner. Two grandchildren: Kristin (Douglas) Lammie and Kimberley (Roger) Dang; and two great grandchildren: Oliver Dang and Nathan Lammie.

She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Gardner and her parents Dorothy and Henry Miller.

Born at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, she resided in Edmonton and later moved to Calgary, where she married, eventually moving to Lethbridge to raise her family.

Marilynn was a humble person possessing many talents such as playing the piano, gardening in addition to crocheting and knitting. Receiving a handmade afghan blanket from Marilynn meant you were very special to her.

Marilynn and Fred enjoyed numerous vacations, but her favorite travel destination was Hawaii.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Unit, Dr. W. Burton, and Dr. A. Shukkoor for their exceptional care of Marilynn. We also would like to thank Dr. D. Walsh, Dr. L. Oviatt, Dr. B. Pahulje and Lynette Holland.

At Marilynn’s request, no funeral service will be held. Cremation entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home.
