LUELLA “LUE” JOYCE KATHOL (née Day), of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Edmond “Ed” Kathol, passed away peacefully at St. Therese Villa on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at the age of 91 years.

Lue is survived by her daughter Sher Pichler of Fernie, BC; and her sister, Gwen Isomaa of Victoria, BC, as well as sisters-in-law, Rosalind Walker (Jim) of Strathmore, and Theresa Harries of Leduc; her brothers-in-law, Leonard (Lorraine) Kathol of Strathmore, and Eric (Irene) Kathol of Edmonton.

Besides her beloved husband, Edmond, she was predeceased by her son Steven Kathol; and sister Diane.

Lue had enjoyed a long life, living in British Columbia with her family during her husband’s career in the RCMP, lastly in Fernie & Cranbrook before going to Lethbridge to be officially retired. They made many friends along the way. Her last number of years were spent at St Therese Villa in Lethbridge.

The family wishes to thank them for their excellent care of Lue, as well as to her neighbour, Cathy, who did so much for Lue and Ed in their later years.

At Lue’s request, there will be no funeral service. A private Interment will take place at a later date.
