MARY DYCK, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Arnold Dyck, passed away at home, on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at the age of 91 years, and is now rejoicing in the arms of Jesus.
The first thing you would notice when you met Mary, was her wonderful smile. She had a warm and welcoming manner and an open heart. First and foremost was her love of the Lord. Her family faithfully attended church and believed in God’s Word while she was growing up. She and her sisters used to sing gospel songs in lovely harmony accompanied by her guitar. Though she faced many trials in her lifetime she always had a strong faith in Jesus that brought a sweetness to her family.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Arnold who died in 1998. She will lovingly be remembered by her six children: Debbie Hooper and husband Wayne, Gary Dyck and wife LeeAnne, Ron Dyck and wife Lynda, Gayle Albright and partner Glen Eastman, Johnathan White, and Steven Dyck. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Jennifer Hooper Cheney, Josh Dyck (Emily), Lindsay Foreman (Tyrell), Jayden Dyck (Rebekah), Nathaniel Dyck (Tama), Timothy Dyck (Miranda), Eric (Paige-Bisson), Daniel (Raquel), She also leaves behind her 15 cherished great grandchildren, Creston, Julian, Natalie, Leroy, Simone, Cyrus, Moriah, Shepherd,
Joelle, Kayla, Atlas, Everett, Ciannah, Noah, Mateo.
She is survived by her brother Richard Fehr, (Sharon) and sister Rose Drynan.
Mary was one of the most creative people you could know. She was gifted in art of various genres. She painted beautifully; sewed lovely clothes; quilted, knitted, crocheted and made diamond dot pictures. Her children have often been recipients of her creations. She never had idle hands. She ran a Ceramics business from our home and loved helping her children and others develop their creative sides as well.
In conclusion, Mary’s life is one to be treasured. She faced the darkness with courage and became a light to those touched by her life. We are grateful to her, love her, and will miss her dearly.
Mary will be laid to rest at Archmount Cemetery at a later date.
