City celebrates National Environment Week with two public events next week

June 1st through 7th is Environment Week across the country, and the Waste & Environment department with the City of Lethbridge is getting actively involved.

Next Wednesday, June 3rd, it’s holding a compost and mulch giveaway, while supplies last, for gardeners in the community.

Residents, though, will need to bring their own shovels, gloves, and containers and there’s a limit of 40 litres per household.

It goes from 1 until 4 p.m. at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena on Scenic Drive South.
