Bulls open season with back-to-back one-sided wins

May 30, 2026 | 2:12 PM

The Lethbridge Bulls improved to 2-0 Friday night with their second home win in as many nights, 21-6 over the Swift Current 57’s.

Delayed by close to 30 minutes, thanks to a passing thunderstorm, the Toros had control of the game almost from start, only trailing once, 1-0, before they had their first bat.

While the one-sided victory can be credited to a number of players, Carter Claerhout stood out with his two-run homer in the game, while Josh Milton went 5-for-6 at the plate.

A new league rule allowed the game to end early, midway through the eighth – if a team leads by 15 runs in the eighth inning, the game is called.

The Bulls play their first two games away from the home crowd Saturday and Sunday versus the Okotoks Dawgs at 7:05 p.m. and 2:05 p.m., respectively.

The two teams will return to Lethbridge for a Monday night match-up, weather permitting, at 6:30 at Spitz Stadium.
