Oldman, St. Mary, and Milk rivers under watch

River levels ease, however, High Streamflow advisories stay in place, for now

While river levels, including the Oldman, have come down somewhat, the Alberta River Forecast Centre is maintaining High Streamflow advisories for several waterways in the region.

Besides the Oldman, advisories remain in place for the St. Mary, downstream of the dam and St. Mary upstream of the reservoir, and the Milk River which, before all of the rain, had spots where there was no water.

As of 9:30 this morning, Alberta Rivers says the level for the Oldman, just outside of the City of Lethbridge, was just under three metres, or about ten feet, running at 476 cubic metres per second, but down from the 615 cubic metres-per-second figure recorded at the same time yesterday.

Meantime, Environment & Climate Change Canada is forecasting a drying trend with no moisture expected through at least next Tuesday.
