Town receives sewer funding from Ottawa for future West Coaldale expansion

The Town of Coaldale has received a little under $2 million from the federal government to go towards to its sanitary sewer system in West Coaldale. 

The money will help to fund construction along a section of 16th Avenue between Highway 845 and 23rd Street. 

The hope is the work will improve wastewater capacity and prevent backups. 

Mayor Jack Van Rijn calls the project a way to ensure Coaldale has the infrastructure required to support both current and future growth.
