Historical society to host second season of walking tour series
After a lot of interest last year, the Lethbridge Historical Society and a well-known local history expert are, once again, offering up a series of walking tours.
The walks begin a week from Thursday, on June 18th, and will take place most Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings through to the end of August.
Historian Belinda Crowson says they’ll include some interesting stories of different Lethbridge neighbourhoods.
“In Senator Buchanan, for example, within three blocks, I have someone who ran for the Communist Party, somebody who said he was a fascist, and somebody who was a labour leader, all living within blocks of each other, all in the 1930’s.
