Family Fishing Day Saturday at Magrath Fishing Pond in Jubilee Park

It’s Father Day Weekend, and if you’re a youngster looking to do something with Dad, the Magrath & District Recreation Committee has a suggestion – drop by Family Fishing Day Saturday (June 20) from 10 a.m until 1 p.m.

Committee chair Melissa Stanford tells us the event will be held at the community’s fishing pond at Jubilee Park.

“Kids under 16 are welcome to throw in a rod and do some fishing,” Stanford explains.

“There will hot dogs and chips, while supplies last. If kids don’t have what they need to fish, if they need a rod, we’ll have rods to borrow.”
