City of Lethbridge to hand out complimentary flower Sunday to Mountain View Cemetery visitors

In what’s become a very popular gesture by the City of Lethbridge each Mother’s Day, the City says its Parks & Cemeteries team will be handing out complimentary flowers to the first 250 visitors this Sunday to the Mountain View Cemetery, for those commemorating Father’s Day.

Launched in 2018, the idea was first begun when the City saw large numbers in May of family coming out to its memorial park to remember Moms and Grandmas lost.

The City says the third Sunday in June has also become a well-attended day, and hopes by handing out the flowers, it will add to a family’s experience.

Flowers will be handed out at the Cemetery office at 1210 Scenic Drive South, while supplies last.
