Severe Thunderstorm Warning continued for southeast region of province

Environment & Climate Change Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm for parts of Southern Alberta.

It says conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

“Thunderstorms will develop along the foothills early this afternoon and move eastward to the Saskatchewan border by this evening. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe,” said a Special Weather Statement issued Saturday.

The risk of severe thunderstorms are expected to end by this evening.
