Community Standards bylaw in motion in Town of Raymond with first reading passed

Council for the Town of Raymond is looking for feedback on a new Community Standards bylaw that was given first reading earlier this month. 

Using its online portal, Let’s Talk Raymond, and engaging with the community, Mayor Bryce Coppieters feels it shows transparency on the part of Council.

“It’s actually nine different bylaws that were all talking about different things,” Coppieters outlined.

“We thought, here’s a way to bring them together. Listen to the community, and allow them to have input as to what they want to see in our community and get feedback that will help drive the decisions that Council makes. Because we want to make sure that members of our town have a say.”
