Canada’s men’s soccer team is down in Los Angeles as they prepare for their Round of 32 match-up this weekend.

If you’re in Lethbridge and looking for a place to view the game, you can check out the Lethbridge Soccer Association’s watch party at the Servus Sport Centre.

Executive director Steve Dudas was asked if this is something they’ve done before, like for other World Cups.

“This is the first time we’re doing something like this. Basically, it’s because of the big large screens. (mounted in one of the arenas),” Dudas explained.

“Talked about it…with Canada hosting, we gotta do something. It went from a projector to a portable to something outside. You know, when the games aren’t on, we’re going to sell advertising on the screen.”

Entry to the watch party is absolutely free.

Canada and South Africa face-off on Sunday afternoon at 1.
