“Opportunity to celebrate our country – its past, its present, and its future”

Lethbridge MP Rachael Thomas took part in several different Canada Day celebrations on Wednesday. 

She was asked, after speaking at an event in Coalhurst, what the day means to her.

“It’s a great opportunity to bring the community together and celebrate our country – its past, its present, and its future,” said the member of parliament.

“I think we have so much to be proud of, as a nation, in terms of what we’ve built, what we’ve established here and who we are, as a people. Canada Day is an opportunity to highlight that and really take pride in it.”
