Water levels easing but still dangerous

Lethbridge Fire & Emergency Services has imposed a Boating Advisory for the Oldman River.
Water rescue team lead Charles Schoening says, while water levels have come down in the last few days, it’s still dangerous.
“It’s important to note that the water levels are too high for safe recreation on the river right now,” Schoening cautioned.
“Currently we’re sitting about 635 metres ‘cubed’ per second. That’s about six times normal than this time of year, maybe, a little bit more. We’d be under one hundred, for sure, at this time of year, normally.”
