Ongoing dialogue with community 'essential'

Phone survey to help shape priorities, path forward for Lethbrige Police now underway

Jul 4, 2026 | 7:06 AM

You may have already or might receive a phone call in the coming days asking for your thoughts on the Lethbridge Police Service.

Started on July 2, it’s meant to gather public feedback from residents and businesses in the community and will ask questions on overall police performance, levels of public satisfaction, and perceptions of safety.

The telephone poll will also help to identify where improvements can be made and what priorites police in the city should be focusing on as it develops its 2027 Annual Policing Plan.

“Community policing is rooted in strong partnerships, shared responsibility, problem-solving and responsive service,” said the LPS.

“Maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the public is essential to understanding local priorities, addressing concerns and delivering policing services that reflect the needs of the community.”

Information obtained in the survey, being conducted by PRA Inc., is confidential and takes about 10 minutes to participate in.

Results will be shared with the public sometime later this Summer.
