Oldman Watershed Council CEO calls 2025 “a banner year”

The head of the Oldman Watershed Council, in its annual report, is describing 2025 as a banner year.

CEO Shannon Frank says one of the group’s many accomplishments was to create the Ecosystem Services Value Calculator. 

In short, it estimates the annual value of the ecosystem services provided by a piece of land.

“So, on that 7500 hectares of land that we’ve improved over the last 20 years, what’s the value of that in value in dollars and cents?” Franks questions as an example.
