Lethbridge Elks win Sunday afternoon to stay alive at AA State baseball tournament

The host Lethbridge Elks remain alive at the Alberta/Montana American Legion AA State Baseball Tournament being played at Spitz Stadium.

After falling 10-2 to the Billings Royals Saturday evening, the Elks rebounded Sunday afternoon with an 11-1 decision over the Great Falls Chargers in the double knockout championship.

The win means the Elks will play the Billings Scarlets, who lost their first game right afterwards, 6-5 to the Missoula Mavericks, who came back with six unanswered runs.

First pitch is 1 p.m. on Monday in a lose-and-go-home match-up.
