Aug. 10-16 declared BeGrainSafe Week by Canadian Agricultural Safety Association

The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association, or CASA, has named this week as BeGrainSafe Week across the country. 

Describing it as a critical priority, the group’s executive director, Sandra Miller, says every year, preventable incidents put farmers, workers, and their families at risk. 

Miller says, what may appear to be a routine task can quickly become a life-threatening situation without the proper precautions. 

Now in its 10th year, the campaign was originally launched to bring out the dangers of getting trapped in grain handling silos and storage facilities.
