Alberta RCMP shifting to navy blue uniform shirts

Alberta RCMP shared this week that its members will make a shift to navy blue uniform shirts.

They note this is part of an effort to modernize the RCMP uniform across the nation.

The change will occur starting Aug. 15.

“The RCMP understands that seeing a new uniform colour may cause confusion. The RCMP also understands that there have been recent incidents of individuals impersonating police,” officials say in a release.
