Forever Canadian group underway with lawn sign campaign against Alberta separatism

Aug 17, 2026 | 8:42 AM

You’re likely to see more lawn signs cropping up around Lethbridge with the slogan, Forever Canadian, on them.

The signs are by a group, with the same name, against October’s provincial referendum and any talk of Alberta separating from Canada.

Al Olson heads up the sign campaign in the Bridge City.

“Well, we started doing this about eight weeks ago,” Olson explained.

“We’ve been setting up at different locations that we’re set up at during the week. We’re gonna be downtown on Tuesday morning at the Mayor’s Breakfast and Wednesday, we’re at the downtown (farmers) market.”

Forever Canadian is movement started by former Edmonton area MLA Thomas Lucaszak who is touring the province in his Unity Bus.

The bus was in Lethbridge on the Heritage Day long weekend and is expected to return to the area, again, before the October 19th referendum.
