While he wasn’t credited with the win, Vauxhall Baseball Academy alumni Adam Macko was instrumental in helping his Round Rock Express upend the El Paso Chihuahuas 15-7 in Pacific Coast League play Friday.
Macko, who started the game, allowed just three hits and had four strikeouts in three full innings of play, leaving the game with his team up 4-0.
The 25-year-old, who was assigned to the Texas Rangers minor league team, after being traded by the Toronto Blue Jays in early August, threw 33 strikes in 49 pitches against the 12 batters he faced.
Macko has now appeared in eight full innings over five games for the Express, and has an earned run average of 5.63.
