Allied Arts Council looking to expand showcasing art on downtown roll shutters

The Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge is looking to beautify the downtown core somewhat after hours by providing roll shutter artwork. 

Already on display at Fee Simple Law on 4th Street South, the Council has received funding to complete up to five more businesses with vinyl shutters. 

“We find that with the roll shutters, when they have art on them, they’re much less likely to be hit with graffiti and they kind of offer a little bit of a gallery when things are closed. Much nicer to look at.”

For now, the roll shutter project is only open to businesses between Scenic Drive and 13th Street South and from 1st to 3rd Avenue South.
