New Water Quality Advisory in place for Enchant Municipal Park Pond

Alberta Health Services has issued another Water Quality Advisory for our area.

The latest covers the Enchant Municipal Park Pond, after elevated levels of bacteria were discovered.

“At current levels, gastrointestinal illness may result from ingestion of the water. There is also the possibility of skin, ear and eye infections with water contact,” said an AHS release Tuesday afternoon.

It also warned that water-borne organisms, including fecal bacteria, can cause vomiting and diarrhea.
