Lohues family invests $100,000 in Bringing Hearts Home
Another generous donation has come in for the Bringing Hearts Home campaign.
For the Lohues family, farming has always been about more than making a living. It is about family, hard work and contributing to the place they call home.
Now, through Coyote Flats Charolais, the Lohues family is investing $100,000 in the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation’s Bringing Hearts Home campaign, helping advance the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and ICU/CCU Expansion at Chinook Regional Hospital.
Foundation officials say the gift reflects a journey that began more than six decades ago when the Lohues family’s parents, Hank and Mary, immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands in the late 1950s. Starting with humble beginnings as sugar beet farmers, officials say they built their life in southern Alberta through hard work, perseverance and a strong commitment to family.
