Search underway for new volunteers for Lethbridge area SAR program

Lethbridge Area Search & Rescue are looking at adding a few more volunteers to their ranks. 

Association president Duane Piper says they have around 40 active members right now, however…

“When a call comes out, depending on when and where it is in the details, we might have 15 people that are able to go. So, we have one intake of volunteers every single year. People can go onto our Facebook page, Lethbridge Area Search & Rescue Assocation or LASARA.org is our website and there’s all kinds of details on our training.”

Piper adding it’s important to have a large base of volunteers, especially when a call out is spread out over multiple days.
