Whoop-Up Days generates new attendance record for 2026 festival

It was another big turnout for the annual Whoop-Up Days celebrations in Lethbridge – record breaking, in fact, if you consider this year’s attendance, and the third-straight year a new mark has been established.

Figures released Wednesday by Excite Lethbridge show well over 56,000 visitors came out for the five day event, with 11,000 fairgoers making it into the pro rodeo.

Saturday night’s rodeo saw a sellout crowd, the first time that’s happened since the event was added to Whoop-Up Days in 2022. 

And, though, it only ended last Saturday night, organizers are already getting into planning for next year’s event August 24th to the 28th.
