LOUIS DARYL DERWAIN KIEMELE, of Boundary Creek, beloved husband of Ruta Kiemele, passed away peacefully at the Cardston Health Centre on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at the age of 81 years, following a battle with Parkinsons.

Daryl will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ruta, his daughters Lindsey (Greig) Hern of Helena, Montana, and Kaley (Chet) Oberkirsch of Coaldale; and seven grandchildren: Michaela, Sadie, Parker, Rylee, Kinzley, Frankee and Grayson; as well as his brother-in-law Harry (Josee) Cupric.

Daryl spent his entire life ranching, a way of life that was deeply woven into who he was. He loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing, camping or hunting. He also enjoyed travelling and especially treasured his trips to Alaska, creating many memories along the way.

Daryl’s greatest joy, however, was his family. He cherished the time spent with Ruta, his daughters and especially his grandchildren. They were the heart of his life, and the love and memories they shared will remain with them always.

Above all, Daryl will be remembered for his love of family, his quiet strength, and the life he built surrounded by the people and places he loved.
